A Confusing Intersection for a Reroute

Any operator that drives the line 4 bus should be aware of this reroute and how important it is to make sure you are doing it right. If something was to happen and you were not following the reroute you might be placed at fault. Since April 10th, 2011 I have been complaining to Dispatch and Management about this reroute. At first I did not think our busses could make that “S” and I was having problems understanding how the intersections flow is. The “S” turn is not as bad as it appears to be but there is an easy reroute that should be looked in to. During my filming of this a road supervisor was also checking things out. I think I made enough noise about this that some corrections might be made. I hope so. The reason I went out and videotaped this is because I kept being told that I am the only one complaining about this. Just one hour and thirty minutes of watching and taping I watch a total of 10 busses go through this intersection. Six inbound busses and four outbound busses. Out of those ten busses only two outbound busses followed the reroute and did it correctly. All six inbound busses missed the right turn only.

This intersection is very confusing and I feel the current way the reroute is makes it difficult for the operators. The purpose of this film to show at most of the operators are having some type of issue with this reroute and it needs to be addressed. I hope this film helps gives you a better understanding of the issue at hand with this reroute. Hopefully some changes will be made to make it a little easier on the operators.
